The photo of AJ was taken December of 2002 by his younger sister using his new camera that he received as a Christmas gift. Several photos were taken at different angles and different directions. Being a kid, he didn't take many photos and finally finished the roll in July of 2003.
AJ gave his mom the roll of film to be developed. She procrastinated and left the roll on the counter - waiting for a sale at Rite Aid - and to get back from an upcoming vacation in August so all photos would be taken to be developed at the same time.
The first day of the family's vacation, AJ was in an accident and his body was missing for one week. During the week of searching for his body, AJ's mom dropped off the roll of film to be developed to see what her missing son had taken photos of.
Mom took AJ's sister, AJ's girlfriend and AJ's neighbor to Rite Aid to pick up the photos. They were in a hurry because there were other stops to make in order to prepare for the funeral. Mom handed the unopened photos to the girls in the back seat. When they opened the photos, they "squealed" and said, "mom, you're not going to believe these pictures". There were 5 photos of Anthony with the wing shadows as in
the photo shown here. The angles were different - three against the house and 2 against the sky at a different angle. In this particular photo, the image of his skateboard rail forms the image of a perfect cross. None of the other 19 photos on the roll had any sign of flaws in the film or developing.
Again, the photos were not developed until after AJ had passed away.
AJ's mom is a visual person and believes this was God's sign to her, the family and AJ's friends that AJ is OK and in heaven as an Angel.
